Privacy policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Aspiro collects, why, who processes it and the choices you have.
1.The short version
- We use your data to run Aspiro: build and store your resumes, score them, tailor them and help you find jobs.
- We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t let our AI provider train models on it.
- Files you check with the public ATS Checker are analyzed in memory and not stored.
- You can delete your documents or your whole account at any time, and ask us for a copy of your data. Deleting your account removes your resumes, letters, applications and uploaded files.
2.What we collect
Account data: name, email address and profile image, provided when you sign up (including via Google sign-in).
Content you create or upload: resumes and their contents, profile photos, AI headshots, cover letters, job descriptions you paste, application tracking notes, interview practice answers and career coach conversations.
Job search preferences: target titles, locations, salary floor and similar settings for your job agents.
Billing data: your plan and subscription status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
Usage and security data: which features you use, AI request counts and token usage (to enforce plan limits), and safety events when a request is blocked by our guardrails (we record the type of issue, not your content). Our hosting provider also processes standard request logs such as IP address and browser type.
3.How we use it
- To provide the service: storing, rendering and exporting your documents; scoring them; and finding and scoring job matches.
- To generate AI suggestions you request, such as rewrites, summaries, tailored versions, cover letters, interview feedback and coaching.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send transactional email (welcome, billing notices, job-match digests you can turn off, replies to support requests).
- To keep Aspiro secure and fair: rate limits, abuse prevention and content-safety checks.
4.AI processing
AI features send the relevant parts of your content (for example a resume and a job description) to OpenAI to generate a response. We request that OpenAI not store these requests for later use, and OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default. Inputs and outputs may be checked by an automated moderation service for safety.
AI output can be wrong. Our prompts instruct the model never to invent experience, but you’re responsible for reviewing everything before you use it in an application.
7.Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, resumes, cover letters, applications, job agents and uploaded files. Limited records may remain in backups for a short period, and billing records are kept as required by tax and accounting law.
Security and usage logs are kept for as long as needed to operate the service and prevent abuse.
8.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. You can delete documents and your account yourself; for anything else, contact support@aspiro.online and we’ll respond within 30 days.
9.Security
Data is encrypted in transit, files are stored privately and served only to their owner, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password or Google sign-in.
10.Children
Aspiro is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
11.Changes and contact
We’ll update this page when our practices change and notify you of significant changes by email or in the app. Questions? Reach us at support@aspiro.online.
